Here is a list of the career opportunities available today

Virtual Coding Bootcamp

The Visiola Foundation’s Virtual Coding Boot Camp is an intensive five-week training program that will provide participants with a strong foundation upon which to build their careers as computer programmers and tech entrepreneurs.

Participants will be taught Frontend Web Development with Bootstrap and JavaScript ES6, User Interface & User Experience Design with Figma, Adobe XD, and Graphic Design using Adobe Photoshop, & CorelDRAW Suite.

The aim of the boot camp is to encourage more girls to pursue technical careers by empowering them with vital knowledge to facilitate their success. The camp will end with a virtual closing ceremony where participants get to pitch their projects. Students working in teams will be given capstone projects to work on after which they will join an alumni network to be connected with leading employers.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Must be an African woman aged 17 – 30 years.
  2. Must have received her primary and secondary education in an African country (certificates to be verified).
  3. Must be available for the full duration of the boot camp.
  4. Must have a laptop or borrow one for the duration of the boot camp.

The boot camp will hold on July 5 – August 6, 2021. It will run from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (WAT) daily, Monday to Friday, and classes will be held on Zoom, WhatsApp, and Google Classroom.

Elevate is a partnership between Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and Boundless Minds Uganda. We seek to enhance the work-readiness skills of young people aged 18 – 25 years by equipping them with the necessary skills such as communication, presentation skills, ideation and business development.

Interested applicants are urged to sign up for mentorship that will enhance employability and entrepreneurship skills. It runs from June 14th to August 31st.

MIS User Support Technician

The National MIS User Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting end-users in the beneficiary management system and other systems as may be introduced from time to time by FAO Uganda in its day to day operations.

Some of the requirements include;

  • Bachelors degree in Software engineering, Computer science or related fields with solid foundation in application development
  • A minimum of years’ experience in supporting end users on usage of IT software systems
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Should be a national of Uganda
