Discover great opportunities with the 2021 Solution Challenge presented by Google developers. This is a mission to solve for one or more of the United Nations 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) using Google technology.

What are the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals?
The United Nations created the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in 2015 that were agreed upon by all 193 member states and should be achieved by 2030.
These goals aim at eradicating poverty, ending hunger, increasing access to health care for all, access to quality education, achieving gender equality and many more other things.

With the 2021 Solution challenge, participants are expected to create projects that contribute to solving one or more of these Sustainable Development Goals using Google technologies.
What’s in it for the participants?
The top 50 teams from around the world will receive mentorship from Google and other experts to improve and submit a solution.
The top 10 finalists win a 1-year subscription to additional customized mentoring from Google and feature in the Google developers blog.
Top 3 winners win all the prizes included in the top 10 category along with a private team meeting with a Google executive and a Chrome book.

Who is eligible for the 2021 Solution challenge?
All university students in Google Developer Student Clubs are invited to join the competition. Click here to join a developer student club through your university or just any student club near you if you are not in one yet.
All proposed solutions will be evaluated under two categories; the impact category which explains how effective the solution is and the technology category which shows how technology was used to implement the solution.
What are Google technologies?
Participants are required to incorporate their knowledge of Google technology and show how it is used to achieve one or more of the SDGs.
Google developers provides a number of products and tools that developers can use to build high-quality apps, to earn money quickly with engaging ads and how to grow a user base for apps. Some of the products are Android, Firebase, Web and Cloud.
