It is a wrap! The Tokyo 2020 Olympics have come to an end and the excitement, anxiety, and jubilations are taking the final turn. How do we mark this? Well, the Olympics closing ceremony is the definitive moment of the entire games in what has been termed as the most unique in the competition’s history.

The Olympics closing ceremony officially signals the end of Tokyo 2020 and the passing of the torch to Paris, the 2024 Olympics hosts. Like the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony, too, will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo.

When does the Olympics Closing Ceremony begin? 

The ceremony will be at 14:00 – 16:30 East African Time on Sunday, 8 August 2021. This will be at 8 p.m. local time in Japan, which is also 7 a.m. ET.

On StarTimes

The race, as like other Olympics 2020 games, will be live on Sanyuka TV CH 222.

On DStv

Every moment of the Olympics is live on 8 dedicated SuperSport channels. SuperSport is showing this year’s Tokyo Olympic Games live on DStv.
