Samsung Galaxy S21 To Be Unveiled on January 14th

Samsung has finally announced it will be releasing its flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S21 on the 14th January 2020 at the Unpacked event dubbed “Welcome To Everyday Epic” set to take place virtually. The event will be broadcast on samsung.com at 6:00 p.m. EAT on January 14, 2021.

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 comes a month earlier compared to the usual dates the company has unveiled this line of flagships that is either late February or early March.

The Samsung Smart Tag, a tile Bluetooth tracker one use to find misplaced items such as car keys, bags, luggage…by simply tagging it to these items, too could be unveiled at this event together with the Galaxy BudsPro-truly-wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation.

Samsung Galaxy S21 and rumored specs

In our previous article, images leak via WinFuture the S21 will feature four color combinations the main colors being violet, pink, dark grey, and white. In those images, you can see the two-tone color scheme which stands out more on the violet version.  The white one is a bit dim with a white back and silver casing.  The pink and dark grey has a single color all through for their frames and back panels.

Samsung Galaxy S21 line is not expected to ship with a charger just like the latest Apple’s iPhone 12 a move by phone companies to reduce e-waste.

According to techradar, In terms of screen, it is expected that there will be 3 variations that is 6.2, 6.7, and 6.9 inches for the S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra (respectively) all coming in with 120Hz adaptive displays.

For the camera, The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus rear camera specs are rumored to be 12MP main, 12MP ultra-wide and 64MP telephoto all taking on a flattened shape to reduce the camera bump.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will come in with a slightly different rear camera setup, with the 108MP main camera making a return from the S20 Ultra, along with either a 5x or 10x optical zoom.

S21 Ultra is expected to have six cameras. The phone will most likely have 3x and 10x telephoto cameras (72mm and 240mm equivalent focal lengths respectively) both with optical image stabilization. The S21’s 10x lens will use a folded optic design like that of the S20’s telephoto camera. Other camera features could be a wider 24mm equivalent lens. It will also come with laser-assisted autofocus.

According to TechRadar, rumors about its internal specs naturally lead to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 (US) or Exynos 2100 chipsets (everywhere else) and at least 8GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy 5000mAh battery may support 45W fast charging, however, one will have to buy their own adapter and AKG headphones separately. The S21 Ultra will have 12GB of RAM and a storage capacity of either  128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with an S Pen as the companies prepares to phase out the Galaxy Note flagship line.
