Shamim Nabuuma Kaliisa, a Ugandan Techpreneur, has been nominated in the inaugural Business Insider Africa Awards.
The Business Insider Africa Awards aim to recognize African business leaders who have been instrumental to the growth and advancement of the region’s economic landscape.
The awards will be held virtually on the 12th of April,2022.
Kaliisa is being recognized for her work with artificial intelligence in transforming telehealth for cancer patients under CHIL AI Lab by improving access to healthcare. She has also incorporated AI technology in several other domains under her mother company, CHIL AI Group.

It is worth noting that the nomination comes after a subsidiary of CHIL AI Group, Solerchil Technologies has expanded its operations to Kenya.

The company’s expansion into Kenya is part of its larger plan to expand its operations across Africa. Shamim Nabuuma Kaliisa said: “Our goal is to provide sustainable energy solutions to millions of people across Africa. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of people in Africa and we believe that our expansion into Kenya is a step in the right direction.”
