When it comes to providing updates, WhatsApp does not appear to take any breaks. The newest WhatsApp update for message reactions is the most recent addition to the popular messaging platform. This update is one that has been available for other social media apps like Instagram and Twitter.

One example is the ability to react to a message or post — think Instagram or Twitter DMs — but you don’t see it so much with more traditional chat apps. WhatsApp would like to change that, however, and is working to bring message reactions to its app.
So what are the message reactions on WhatsApp?
A reaction is usually an emoji that you can place on a message to express emotions. Instagram, Twitter, iMessage already support message reactions and today we can start to discover the progress of their development. As a first step, WhatsApp is working on a message to present when the user is using an outdated version of WhatsApp that does not support receiving reactions.
In this case, the user cannot see the reaction but WhatsApp will present a different message, asking to update WhatsApp to see the reaction:
So, to be clear, message reactions on WhatsApp have not yet arrived as yet, but the feature is actively being developed and could soon arrive across iOS, Android, and desktop according to WABetaInfo. By delving into the Android version of the app, they have unearthed a message pop-up that prompts users to update to see a message reaction.
WhatsApp will support message reactions and expect more details on this in the next few weeks. Seeing as this feature is under development, we have to wait for new updates to show it. And even if the screenshot is taken from WhatsApp beta for Android, WhatsApp will obviously implement this feature on WhatsApp for iOS and Web/Desktop as well.

Chat transfer from iPhone to Android
WhatsApp will soon let users transfer their chat history, including photos and voice memos, between iOS and Android. However, the – for now- is only available starting with new Galaxy models. To add to this, WhatsApp is yet to mention a word about whether the feature would work vice versa for Android and iPhone.
This was announced during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event as Samsung unveiled its latest devices including folding smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
With WhatsApp view once images, a new feature under beta testing, you should be able to send your contacts an image that they can only view a maximum of one time. As soon as they exit, the image disappears. Once you have the update on you, go to the contact or group you want to send this one-time disappearing image to. Then select the image from the library or take a snap from the camera. Tap on the icon displaying ‘1’ in the text box.
