This expansion will connect creators, listeners and content from all these different countries to a central platform where they can interact through music. Now many Ugandans can forget about the hustle of streaming music on Spotify which required a Virtual Private Network connection since it wasn’t available in the country before. This kind of struggle will be no more really soon according to the recent announcements for Spotify to launch in Uganda and several African countries.

Until this announcement, Spotify has only been available in Algeria, South Africa, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco in Africa. Many more African countries will be added to the ones that can access the platform as part of the plans for Spotify to launch in Uganda and 80 more countries across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America representing over 1 billion new fans.
