The Government Citizens Interaction Centre (GCIC) is an initiative set up by the government in an effort to encourage open governance by creating a contact centre where its citizens can give feedback and suggestions as they monitor public service delivery. The government citizen interaction centre moved to State House from the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance where it was initially established. This was communicated in an announcement made by the recently appointed Vision Group CEO, Don Wanyama.

Glad to announce that the @GCICUganda that was previously under @MoICT_Ug has now moved to @StateHouseUg and will be headed by @MKarekye, deputised by @DuncanAbigaba. The unit's mandate stays as educating the public about government programmes. Welcome to SH! pic.twitter.com/cTe6oKhAjt
— Don Wanyama (@nyamadon) April 16, 2021
