Gmail down for Android users as the application suffers yet another outage. The Google app failed to open for users who owned certain devices as most reports came in from people who owned Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones.

Many of the app’s users made complaints about Gmail failing to open as it crashed every time some of them attempted to open the application. Google has suffered a number of outages in the past, the most recent one in December 2022 where most of its applications failed to work affecting users globally.

Gmail down for Android users according to Down detector, a platform that reports outages and complaints of when applications are down, currently, there are over 370 complaints from Android users as the application is still down.
It is still unknown what could have caused this to occur and many hope it is fixed soon since Gmail is one of the most used applications for work purposes. Google never reveals the actual causes of these outages so it is highly unlikely the public will know what is causing this ongoing issue even after it’s fixed.
For some users, this is the second outage they are facing after Facebook-owned apps like WhatsApp and Instagram shut down on Friday evening for about 45 minutes leaving many people stranded. According to WhatsApp, it was due to apparent technical failures which were fixed within the fastest time possible.
There are growing concerns about such outages that have started to occur more frequently as compared to the past with many wondering whether these tech companies have the resources to continue offering quality services for the growing number of users in the long run.
