MultiChoice Uganda announces superb discount rate on GOtv decoders that will make them affordable and increase nationwide access to the best entertainment. The new GOtv decoder price has been cut from the usual shs89,000 to shs69,000.
MultiChoice Uganda in a statement said, this new GOtv decoder price is “intended to deliver value by making great entertainment more accessible for all Ugandans”. This discount will likely attract more subscribers to the PayTv service since it is cheap as people had to do away with Pay Tv services in past months because the economic situation made it difficult to afford these rates.
Jonah Wegoye, the Head of Sales at MultiChoice Uganda said, “The slow recovery rate of the country’s economy from the recession caused by the covid-19 pandemic and the recently concluded election period has compelled us as MultiChoice Uganda to consider a price reduction in a bid to ease our customer’s burden and cushion them against financial distress.”
He continued to explain,” The new decoder fee will go for as low as Shs69,000, inclusive of the full GOtv kit that is the decoder and antenna, one month subscription of GOtv Plus and installation.”

New GOtv decoder price launched with new viewing content
New local content that will be on GOtv soon was also announced to the press by the PR and Communications Manager of MultiChoice Uganda.
PR and Communications Manager, Joan Semanda Kizza said in a statement,”MultiChoice remains dedicated to providing great family entertainment that entails non-stop family dramas, lifestyle shows, kids’ shows, edu-series, edutainment and lots of sporting action to amplify the viewing experience of our dear customers through our GOtv platform.”
She further explained, “MultiChoice Uganda is proud to be partnering with some of the greatest local story tellers with the upcoming launch of two local content channels: Pearl Magic Prime and HONEY TV.”
She concluded that,”We know our customers will enjoy a variety of home entertainment content as we continue to hold onto our promise of defining home entertainment in Uganda.”
The exciting new GOtv decoder price starts on 1st February 2021 and will end on 31st March 2021. All active and non-active customers are eligible for the offer.
