StarTimes Uganda is a Chinese owned pay TV company providing entertainment at the most affordable rates starting with their decoders all the way to their packages for Ugandans. With a great selection of channels from various bouquets, StarTimes gives access to world-class content in the categories of sports, movies, sitcoms, music and more.

The company covers diverse content not only for Ugandans but other nationals such as the Indian and Chinese communities. In June this year, it cut its prices even lower to meet the budgeting needs for subscribers.

The decoder prices are quite cheap with the terrestrial package that doesn’t require a dish going for UGX 85,000. It comes with one month of classic package. For those interested in the satellite version, the satellite dish and decoder go to UGX 155,000.

StarTimes also recently introduced a decoder that costs only UGX 8,000.

Classic package

The classic package offers over 61 channels and costs UGX 33,000. It expires with 25 days after subscription.

Basic package

This package offers over 40 channels and comes at the affordable cost of UGX 16,500. It expires within 2 months once a customer subscribes.

Nova package

The Nova package offers 10 international channels in addition to the local channels. It is the most affordable amongst the packages going for UGX 6,000. It expires within 7 days.

Even as the company initially started by offering services that did not require a dish, it later adopted satellite services that customers know as StarSat. Here are the prices for these unique packages.

StarSat Super

This package offers over 21 channels and it costs UGX 54,000 per month.

StarSat French

It has over 16 channels. To buy this package, it costs UGX 72,000 per month.

StarSat Chinese

You can access over 21 television channels on the StarSat Chinese. To buy this package, it cost UGX 80,000 only.

StarTimes ON app
