Binance – Merchant operations

If you are looking to be part of the most influential company in the blockchain industry, here is your opportunity to join as a merchant for operations.

Some of the responsibilities include;

  • Work extensively with Data dashboards to refine merchant’s experience and inform management strategy decisions
  • Assist the leadership in leading merchant expansion plans for Africa

Some of the requirements include;

Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority

The PPDA is seeking to recruit a qualified, competent and highly motivated Ugandan to fill the position of E-Government Procurement Support Officer – IT.

Some of the key duties and responsibilities include;

• Provide E-GP system functional support to system users in MDALGs
• Actively participate in system setup, testing and monitoring
• Regularly review and test the internal controls of the system
• Training of Trainers through conducting functional and staff training on the system
• Formulate and monitor system performance indicators
• Actively participate in E-GP change management and awareness activities

Some of the qualifications, skills and experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the PPDA E-GP Support Officer- IT job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s (Hons) Degree specializing in Information Technology from a recognized university;
    Specialized training and certifications related to Information Technology services delivery (ITIL) is an added advantage;
    A credit in English and Mathematics at Ordinary Level.
  • At least two years’ experience in system support within a busy IT/environment is required.
    Experience in development of procurement portals or procurement management information systems will be an added advantage.

UNDP seeks to support the creative sector through a special purpose vehicle/ a dedicated creatives arts facility that will provide a more structured approach to creatives, including catalytic financing, and business/technical advisory services, promoting south-to-south co-operation, amongst others.

Categories to be supported include;

  • Performing Arts and Distribution – music, audio recording, comedy, drama, festivals, theatre, spaces for rehearsals.
  • Audio, Visual and Interactive Media – film, video, television and radio production, streaming, internet podcasting, video gaming, computer games, animation.
  • Visual Arts and Crafts – crafts, painting, sculpturing, photography, videography, weaving, galleries, markets.
  • Books and Press – books, newspapers, magazines, book fairs, libraries.
  • Design and Creative Services -fashion, graphics, interior, landscaping, architecture, advertising, content distribution.
  • Content Distribution – earned media, paid media, owned media.

Successful groups or individuals will receive support of varying proportions and in some cases based on their specific needs. This support will include, but not limited to mentoring, incubation expertise, access to tools and equipment, and financial support in the form of grants between $3,000 and $5,000.

CEED Concordia’s Virtual Technology and Education Internship

CEED Concordia interns, in partnership with CEED Uganda interns, will develop and facilitate practical workshops for high school students in  Gulu to improve their skills in ICT.  

The objectives of this project are the following: 

  • Building basic ICT skills among Ugandan youth (i.e. Basics in ICT, Micrsoft Word and Excel, and Coding with Python)
  • Leveraging new  technologies in  the  benefit of the teenagers’ education and personal development
  • Bridging the gap between youth growth and needs for technical skills in ICT in Uganda
  • Strengthening skills and providing a platform for cultural exchange between Ugandan and Canadian interns
