FA Business Accelerator 2021

The Fund Africa Business Accelerator has been organized to assist entrepreneurs refine their ideas/ventures right from ideation to resource mobilization, we are working with a diverse team of supporters across Africa to help bring on a mix of value as we look forward to strengthening the different value prepositions that will be presented in the month’s training.

The FA Business Accelerator follows a series of trainings that take place monthly through the Fund Africa Business Development Program, FA Capital that enables entrepreneurs have access to business training, services and encourages a saving and investment culture.

The Program will run remotely for the whole month of August 2021 in an interactive and yet flexible way. At the end of the program, entrepreneurs would have acquired different skills including Networking, Teamwork, Presentation, market validation, project development, project testing and will join the Fund Africa Inc. community to access other resources and opportunities that can also spur venture growth.

Alliance Hack

The Alliance Hack — in its second edition — will leverage the Alliance’s deep expertise to support fintechs in developing solutions for women business owners to access financial products and accelerate their business growth.

It will also connect fintechs with global financial services providers that have similar objectives and allow them to pitch their solution in front of a judging panel of global leaders in the financial sector and champions of the female economy.

Participating in the Alliance Hack can give your fintech the opportunity to:

  • Test your POC with a commercial bank

Receive online training in different areas like in Microsoft Office and Statistical packages.

At only UGX 200,000 one can get skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint. For statistical packages, one can gain skills in data entry, data management, data analysis and statistical modelling.

Resilient Africa Network

Resilient Africa Network (RAN) uses the Human-centered design methodology to equip individuals with skill sets and knowledge in creative problem-solving. Design thinking is an approach that frames problems creatively and generates highly innovative solutions, intervention pathways, strategies, systems, and paradigms at the nexus of domains.

During the HCD training participants work in teams and after learning the design cycle we engage them in a Design Challenge to identify problems and solutions, come back in their teams to reframe the problem, synthesize their findings, brainstorm solutions, converge and take forward an idea to develop, prototype and test.
