Airtel Uganda unveils chillax bundles that do not expire as it works towards addressing such issues and increasing digital penetration in the long run. The strategy to provide more affordable rates for the internet has been picked up by a number of telecom companies as they understand the need to encourage more Ugandans towards digitalization.

In efforts to increase connectivity, Airtel Uganda unveils chillax bundles

Airtel Uganda unveils chillax bundles that do not expire. These bundles will allow customers to use various platforms across the internet for long as they have no stipulated time period to expire. The ability to continue with no stipulated time period is what makes them even more unique and attractive to customers.

You can simply dial *175# or visit the Airtel App to activate them. When activated, these bundles are available all day and night.

Airtel Uganda is renown for its various efforts to ensure that there is increased connectivity in Uganda as it innovates new ways to meet customers’ satisfaction. Airtel Uganda has revolutionalised the telecom industry in Uganda to meet the evolving needs of the customers.

“The Chillax Bundles do not expire once subscribed to unless exhausted,” the Chief Commercial officer Airtel Uganda, Amit Kapur, said during the launch at Kampala Serena Hotel. “The launch of these bundles is offering our customers more options to enjoy our fast and interrupted data services that are accessible in every corner of the country.”

The high cost of the Internet as people resolve to live off the internet to provide priorities for basic needs is one of the factors that limit digital penetration in Uganda. These new bundles called chillax bundles are designed to provide cost-effective data for digital inclusion.

“The increment in the uptake of Smartphones as indicated in the Uganda Communications Commission 2020, 4th Quarter Market Performance Report should be matched with affordable and durable data thus enabling our customers to connect with the world endlessly. In the end, our goal is to drive digital inclusion in Uganda through innovation,” Kapur concluded.

MTN Uganda also recently revamped its Freedom bundles offer that avails data which expires only when its depleted and not after a stipulated period of time. The revamped offer was launched with more data bundles that customers could access at more affordable rates.

To purchase these affordable new additions, download the MTN MoMo app or MyMTN app and you will be able to activate them. MTN customers need to have a 4G enabled sim card to enjoy these new MTN Freedom bundles.

Other efforts by Airtel Uganda to increase digital inclusion

As Airtel Uganda unveils chillax bundles here are some of the telecom giants’ recent efforts.

Airtel Kwata Essimu

Airtel Uganda launched the Airtel Kwata Essimu initiative in partnership with Samsung, Asante Financial Services Group and Mastercard to increase the number of internet subscribers in Uganda. As the initiative aims at creating affordability in partnership with Samsung, a few Samsung smartphones will be made available for customers to access through loans which are; Samsung A01, A3 Core and A11. These smartphones can be bought at Airtel customer service centres and given at loans with the customer paying some money upfront.

DStv Airtel bundles

The two companies that are popular for their commitment towards creating convenience and improving customer experience today (9th April 2021) announce a partnership to offer television viewing internet bundles that will make it possible for DStv subscribers on the Airtel network to conveniently watch DStv on the DStv Now App.
